GCB was established by three former employees of WG Allen's of Tipton in 1974

GCB has developed from small meagre beginning in a rented workshop no bigger than a common garage in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands with just 3 machines to work with.

To now owning it’s own factory which has 21,000 square feet with 17,000 square feet of factory including offices.

We now have a fully stocked machine and fabricating shop with over 50 + machines

And are now able to offer a comprehensive range of services to our customers.

In 2015 the third generation of the Conway family started working at GCB

As much as GCB Engineering has grown it still remains a family run business with experienced and dedicated staff always on hand to answer any of your inquiry's, be it for one off repair to existing equipment and parts to large batch machining.

We have delivered orders to all five continents around the world with two of our main customers based in Denmark and the Czech Republic.

The site of GCB Engineering was a former foundry, some parts of the building mainly the works shop floor are over 100 years old.

The main office was originally a loading bay and when we moved into the works in 1985 we found that at the back wall of the car park there were pens built in which the former owner kept pigs.

Over the years we have constantly looked to improve the machinery. However we do own machines that can be classed as vintage. With one milling machine that was salvaged from a sunken world war one ship, repaired and now works as new on our shop floor.
